Santa Clara- please welcome Reggie!! Reggie is a four month old kitten that joins us from the San Jose Animal Care Center. He's had some past trauma which has left him with some healing wounds and a bit of a wobbly walk. Both of these conditions seem to be improving based upon the notes that we received.
In spite of whatever awful event that he went through, he is an absolute gem of a kitten. He loved his special dinner that he gets tonight, as a "welcome to the pack and sorry about the neutering".
He has not stopped purring since we picked him up and is just lovely. He doesn't seem bothered by the dogs or other cats. We're going to get more information about him and then start looking for a special forever home for this brave and friendly guy.
Our hearts are full this evening. Thank you to all who support our mission.
Black cats often wait longer to get adopted. Older kittens or "cattens" as we like to call them, often wait longer to be adopted. Our adoptable girls Chloe and Clementine are dealing with both of these categories. They were adopted from us as cute little babies, and then returned to us when Life happened to their owner and she could no longer care for them-it was not their fault, and we will ALWAYS take any of our kittens back when they need us. These girls get along well but are not bonded, and can be adopted separately. They are good with other cats and good with dogs when proper introductions are made. We would love for one or both of them to find a home soon. Located in San Jose, both are spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and have had flea medication applied. Please share to help these lovely older kittens find a soft landing place
Penny is patiently waiting for her eye surgery. This soft and pretty girl is probably one of the sweetest kittens that we've ever met. She's about 4 months old and will be a one-eyed Pirate Kitten but we would also like everyone to know that she is beyond lovable and affectionate. Her foster mom says she's the easiest and sweetest kitten she's ever seen.
We're hoping Penny will be adoptable in a couple more weeks when she's healed up from her surgery which should happen soon ❤️
Adoptable Bodie Bee is all healed up from her eye removal surgery and is ready to find a new home! This kitten is supremely confident and very loving. She is used to dogs and other cats and will fit into almost any home quite easily!
Almost adoptable Laverne and Shirley are enjoying their foster home and learning to be kissy instead of hissy! Watch for this pair of lovely gals to be adoptable in early October.
Adoptable OZZIE sweet and cuddly. Fostered with another cat and a dog. Likes things a little bit on the quiet side to start off but don't we all??
Adoptable now in San Jose
Baby friends Quiz and Question! Hanging out on a heating pad and with a heartbeat stuffie for comfort, these babies are just a few weeks old. They had another sibling that didn't make it before arriving here, and Question has a multitude of health issues that worried the shelter-so here they are in our special baby bin. So far Question is doing well and is happy and stable. Quiz is doing amazing also.
They are getting lots of attention (at all hours) and hopefully will be big kittens soon!!
New arrivals! Little hissies Laverne and Shirley were VERY skeptical of this whole "humans are friends" theme that we are introducing. They did not approve of the shenanigans needed to get them dewormed, that's for certain. This little pair of sisters is coming along well even after just a couple days in their dedicated and experienced foster home. Here is what foster mom has to say:
Everyone has been adopted, so time for new foster kittens. Our new arrivals are Laverne and Shirley (aka Ellie and Sisi)!
They are still learning not to be scared of humans but are adjusting quickly, and are now ok with getting pets in their little yoda house (this was not ok on Saturday)!
These tiny girls are about 8 weeks old, they have been spayed and microchipped, vaccinated appropriately for their age dewormed and have had flea meds applied. Once we turn them from hissy to kissy they will be available for adoption, which could be pretty soon!!
Chloe and her sister Clementine are looking for a new fur-ever home!! They can be adopted separately or together, and are good with the doggie in the foster home. These girls are wonderful house panthers, and they are older kittens which means when you meet them, you can see their personality!! They are both such lovely girls and are not getting any applications, lets fix that!!!!
Coming soon! Portia, 10 week old Seal Point female kitten. Very sweet, stay tuned as we learn more about her. Rescued from potential TNR, she is too sweet to live on the street.
Adoptable in San Jose! Pretty girl Molly was hissy now kissy, and has even made friends with the happy little dog in her foster home!
Noodle and Nugget
Chloe and Clementine
Ozzie and Olive
Monty, Morgan, Molly and Mae Mae
All joined the scritch family recently, have been placed into foster homes, and will be working on either getting bigger, getting friendly or getting healthy. Thank you for all the support so we can say yes whenever possible to kitties in need ❤️❤️
