Gosforth came to Abbey Cats through a rescue in Cobalt. She and her two siblings are beautiful, fluffy, friendly, silly, playful, affectionate angels. They are all litterbox stars with very good hygiene, and are highly oriented towards people and each other.

Gosforth is very pretty and confident, and her activity level sits somewhere between her lazy sibling August and busy sibling Jesmond. She is a lap and shoulder cat, and loves "helping" her foster mom with her typing for work. Gosforth loves cuddling on the couch and watching shows with the humans, her fur is a bit lighter in colour than Jesmond's, and they both have delicate little faces compared to August who is a bit wider in the face.

They like playing with all kinds of cat toys, but will keep themselves busy doing judo with each other in a pinch. She needs to be adopted with a sibling or foster sibling.

We don't know much about their past, other than that their mother abandoned them at a young age. Ever-resilient, this super social crew has not skipped a beat, all three of them purr like motors as soon as you make eye contact with them.

Jesmond is the most curious and active of the three, bravely exploring new environments and friends before her siblings. She is a lap and shoulder cat, with a sparkling personality. Jesmond loves cuddling on the couch and watching shows with the humans, but if you notice there aren't many photos posted of her, it is because it's really hard to catch her while she is staying still!

Pippa & Gus !

2 months old Gus and Pippa came to Abbey Cats from a shelter north of the city.

Pippa (black) is a bold little ball of energy and only stops for little cat-naps to recharge and potential snuggles. She loves wrestling with her brother Gus, chasing little toy mice and, of course, adores feather wands and just about anything that moves. She follows her foster mother around, hoping the wand will come out, but really she just likes to be close by. Pippa has very clean litter habits and likes to keep herself clean. Pippa is very adaptable and would be a great addition to any kind of home that can give her love and attention. She loves snuggling up to the other cats in the home (when they let her). Her inquisitive and friendly nature means she is not shy with strangers.

Gus (Tuxedo) is a very loving little boy who loves to have his little toes massaged when he is in sleepy mode. Otherwise he is a little ball of energy who loves to chase and wrestle with his sister Pippa. He also loves chasing ping pong balls, little toy mice and just about anything that moves. He is a bit more laid-back than his sister Pippa, usually waiting for her to stir up some mischief that he can join in. When he is not running around playing, he is either off exploring or taking a short cat-nap. He has a cute little chirpy voice and is not shy to let his foster mom know when it's time to eat again! Gus is very friendly and adaptable. He does well with strangers, especially if they want to play! He would do well in any home that will give him the love and attention he deserves. He loves snuggling up to the older cats in the foster home.

Meet Mavis

Mavis is 3 years old and ready for a pampered indoor life in her forever home. She is fostered by a single person. This sweet cat is very quiet and is comfortable hiding for now. Her appetite is very good and she loves treats. Mavis enjoys chin scratches and ear, nose and head rubs and being brushed very gently. Time is exactly what this lovely little one needs to understand how safe indoor life can be! Laurel & Laney!

Laurel (Tuxedo) and his sister Laney (Black) were found as strays and placed in an overcrowded shelter before coming to Abbey Cats.

Laney is beautiful with a shiny black coat and huge eyes. She is a sweet and gentle kitten that is shy and timid with humans at first. She and her brother Laurel. It took a while for Laney to feel safe enough to allow her foster family to give her the cuddles she clearly wants & enjoys - she purrs in anticipation of having her head/ears rubbed. In this respect she is the opposite of her brother Laurel - who was quickly comfortable.

Laurel is the most snuggly kitten we have ever met! He loves affection of any kind and wants to spend her time with the humans in the foster home. He is particularly fond of snuggling on a lap and getting belly rubs - He will routinely flop onto her back in hopes of a belly rub!

They play very well with the other kittens in his foster home and need a home that can give them the love and attention that they need. Laurel loves people and we suspect that he would do well with children or really with any creature who is affectionate, whereas Laney needs her time to feel comfortable and feel safe.

Haven & Saylor !

Haven and his brother Saylor are adorable 2-months old fluffy bundles of love and energy who came to us from a shelter up north.

They are very playful boys and spend lots of their time wrestling! When they are worn out they enjoy snuggling with their foster mom. Stephen & Nitro (2 months old brothers) came from a northern shelter.
Stephen is a very calm cat who loves his rest and naps. When he is awake he is very energetic and loves playing with his brother. He gets along well with his foster family and likes the calm. He can be pretty friendly and cuddly but also likes to have his own space.
Nitro is an energetic super fun kitty who also loves his sleep time. He is very friendly with everyone in his foster family. It is always a great time just to watch him and his brother play. He loves warm fuzzy blankets and can't not lie down for a good nap if there is sunshine.
