🐶 Dobby has become quite the fan-favorite among the staff during his time at the shelter. Whether he's showing you his favorite toys or running at you full speed with a wiggly butt, Dobby is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face! He's a big cuddlebug with lots of kisses to go around and he'd fit great in just about any home.

🩺 When Dobby first arrived at the shelter as a stray, he was covered in severe lacerations and punctures that had gone untreated, leading to infection. His ears were severely infected on the inside as well as externally. After many rounds of antibiotics, Dobby's ears were still not responding to treatment. Dr. Melick performed a lateral ear resection surgery for better air exposure for cleaning and treatments. Thanks to the generous community we have been able to provide him all of this medical care.

🩹 Dobby's ears will have to be looked after his entire life and will need cleaned daily. It is recommended that Dobby's adopter creates a plan with their veterinarian for Dobby's ears moving forward. This could be a long term condition and the adopter needs to know the importance of care that will be required to keep Dobby comfortable and healthy.

We cannot say thank you enough to each and every one of you who helped us afford the necessary care in order to save his life. 💕

Hercules is a happy guy with a heart of gold! This 6-year-old fella loves exploring outside, flopping down for belly rubs, and any toy that squeaks. If you give him a scratch in the right spot on his back, you’ll get his leg kicking. He is a very adventurous boy and would love nothing more than to play outside all day with you! He’ll bat tennis balls around and bring a smile to your face! Hercules is working hard on understanding how strong he is. It’s hard when there’s so many exciting things to see and smell! He would love for someone to continue working with him on leash training and manners. Like all of us, he is a work in progress – but for every challenge, he has 1,000 moments of sweetness! He’s a very smart boy and listens very well! Hercules loves being around people, and is a sucker for fall. He loves the leaves, and would be overjoyed to head to your favorite coffee shop and get a pup latte. You'll always know when Mariah's around because she isn't shy to let everyone hear her beautiful singing voice! She loves being the center of attention and would do best in a home with older siblings because of this. Mariah is a super affectionate lady and would gladly snuggle up with you for some pets. Cases like this are why it's so important to keep up with monthly parasite preventatives.

After he was found running to his hearts content on Highway 20, Antonio was brought in to CBHS as a stray. Our medical team couldn't believe the condition he was in. They could barely find one inch of his body that wasn't covered in ticks. His bad luck didn't stop there... not only did he tested positive for lymes disease and anaplasmosis (both tick borne diseases) but his positive result for heartworm disease was off the charts.

This sweet boy has a long and expensive road of recovery ahead of him but he doesn't let that stop him from being in high spirits. He will need several doses of heartworm injections and 60 days of antibiotics before he is healthy. Antonio's personality has already stolen the hearts of a new family and he will be recovering in the comfort of a home.

It's unfortunate that these medical costs could have been prevented if his family had been responsible pet owners and provided Antonio with monthly parasite preventatives. Be Antonio's hero and help us afford his medical costs by donating today.
