Registered charity 1166554* Free rein horse rescue is a small non profit organisation. We rescue, re-home and rehabilitate horses, ponies and donkeys.

Our Mission

To rescue, re-home and rehabilitate, to provide sanctuary and care.

We rescue - we take in neglected, abandoned and unwanted equines.

We provide sanctuary - we give a permanent home for equines that cannot be re-homed due to ongoing health and behavioural issues.

We rehabilitate - we make a thorough assessment of requirements (behavioural, vet, physio assessment etc) and work with the horse/pony/donkey/mule to resolve issues in a safe, knowledgeable environment.

We educate the public through pony experience days, stable management education, lectures and demonstrations, leaflets and advertising through social media.

We re-home - we have a network of contacts, reach people via the internet, and liaise with other registered charities.

We educate people in equine welfare - junior pony days, horse management lessons, attending public events.
