ABOUT F.U.R.R.:
Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab is a nonprofit organization that was founded in order to expand the efforts and awareness of rescue efforts for homeless and feral cats. These cats are fully vetted, tamed and placed in carefully screened forever homes. In the south Charlotte area, the number of homeless, injured and/or feral cats is growing. It is an ongoing problem where public awareness, education, funding and a group effort is desperately needed.

Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab (F.U.R.R.) has been formed to help trap and spay/neuter in feral colonies.
These cats will have to be released back into a controlled environment if there are not funds and/or facilities available to work with taming these cats. If the cats are young, they are always kept and tamed, vetted and placed in forever homes. If space and funds allow, older feral cats are tamed, rehabilitated, vetted and also adopted out.

F.U.R.R. also works with the public to help with feline education. F.U.R.R. takes many calls a day to assist and consult with clients with problem cats, injured cats or other questions regarding no only pet cats, but feral cats living in and around populated areas. F.U.R.R. can assist in trapping injured and feral cats and can
help transport and recover cats when needed.

F.U.R.R. has a new web site that is extremely informative. Not only are our tamed adoptable cats on the web site, but also some of our rescue stories along with other educational information that may be helpful to cat lovers.

Obtaining our 501©(3) status for F.U.R.R. will open a lot of doors that we are anxiously waiting on. F.U.R.R. has been going into organizations, such as Petsmart, with our adoptable cats under the umbrella of other
organizations. But, now, F.U.R.R. has formed its own organization with a mission statement unlike any other rescue group. We are the only group around that is solely committed to rescuing feral cats.
