We are a very tiny dog rescue located in East Contra Costa County, CA. We strive to rescue dogs from shelters or stop them from ending up there.

Throw Me A Bone Dog Rescue is a small group of volunteers who have an average of five years' experience rescuing, fostering and finding new families for homeless dogs.

Our focus is saving dogs that are in danger of euthanasia at shelters, though we do occasionally accept dogs from private owners so that they do not enter the shelter system.

We are working on our own non-profit status, but presently are working under the fiscal sponsorship of the US Wolf Rescue located in Sparks, Nevada. A portion of each adoption donation will go to that refuge as well as help us continue in our efforts to rescue dogs and find them wonderful adoptive families.
